Ingredients
SERVES 4
– 80 g black rice
– 4 big apples hollowed-out
– 30 g butter
– 1 tbsp. sugar
– a dash of cinnamon ground
– sweet grappa or maraschino juice
– icing sugar to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Then, fill a pot with abundant salted water and boil the rice for ab. 40 minutes. Once cooked, drain and transfer the rice to a salad bowl. Then, prepare the filling by mixing the rice with ½ tablespoon of sugar, cinnamon and grappa or maraschino juice. Right after, fill the apples with the stuffing and place them on a buttered baking dish. At this point, melt the butter, pour it over the apples and sprinkle the remaining sugar on top. Bake the apples in the oven for ab. 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and place the apples onto a tray. Sprinkle the apples with icing sugar and the sauce they cooked in. Serve warm.
